George Benjamin (natural January 31, 1960) is a British composer of classical music, and too the conductor, pianist and teacher.

Innate within London, he studied sustaining Olivier Messiaen at the Paris Conservatoire during the 2nd half of the Seventies, reputedly becoming Messiaen's favorite pupil.
